dorkfysh's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bleccch Yesterday was traumatizing for everyone involved. The kid had some crazy invention she had made for school and when she ran out to catch her bus she fell on her ass and dropped the whole thing while the bus drove by. It was super cold and pouring rain so I threw on a warm coat over my pajamas and got my panicky child in the car and drove her to school. When she got out of the car the top of her project flew off and into the street and I had to stand in the middle of traffic with the wind almost knocking me down to get it for her. I would have just left it there, but the kid was freaking the fuck out. So I went home and took a shower and coughed up a lung. I have had a cold for a week and have not been taking care of myself and my lungs want me dead. I went down to the job center place to fax some resumes and follow up on the bullshit jobs I have applied for and I had to listen to some assface yell at people on the phone for two hours. I came home and whined at MMG and transferred my bad mood to him. Good job, me! Oy. When I went to pick the kid up from school she begged me to talk to the principal about her friend who is getting abused by her grandparents. Poor kid. She was abandoned by her mom and now the grandparents are whacking her upside the head with books. I hope that someone will be able to help her. It breaks my heart. The kid was in a foul mood as we drove Alli to school and sat in the back seat glowering at me like the sullen teenager she is not supposed to be yet. I was supposed to go hang out with Bekka, but I passed out on the couch for an hour instead. I picked up little Cade-man and brought him back home and listened to him and the kid bicker back and forth while we tortured ourselves with the bad singing on American Idol.
