dorkfysh's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- it's all about the benjamins I thought it was funny that most of the networks couldn't show their pretty talking heads because everyone in the crowd was yelling "Fuck Corporate Media!" The networks didn't think it was funny and only showed the few tools who decided to smash windows and bait cops. *sigh* There were thousands of us marching peacefully and were supported by most of the people on the streets and in their cars. People were hanging out of their apartments and hotel rooms flashing peace signs and chanting along. The news says that the pro-war rally had 100 people. I take that to mean about 50. They always downplay the protestors numbers so I'm sure they pro-war numbers were inflated. I couldn't even find them. Never saw a single one...except for the old guy in the gray suit holding up a Bush/Cheney sign and the guy outside a motel jumping around yelling "Bomb Iraq Bomb Iraq". It's frustrating that the protests are ignored by the media unless there is something that can be perceived as dangerous and violent to report on. I came home and watched the news and one channel was taking phone calls. Several idiots said that Bush was chosen by god to be our president. Um...what the hell kind of god is that? Are they trying to say that Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bush Sr. are the trinity or something?
