dorkfysh's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- no more teacher's dirty looks I used to mildly dislike the kid's teacher. Now I hate her...flames from the side of my face hate. She left TWO evil ranty messages on my phone last night and in a few I am tromping down to the school to let the principal hear her venom. It seems the kid is such a terrible distraction and royal pain in her ass that she has lost 20 HOURS of teaching time this year. Oh really? I have had other parents tell me that she is too hard on the kid....one of them took their kid out of the school because they didn't like her. The only reason I have kept her there is that I thought she was actually learning quite a bit. She comes home and tells me about all these amazing projects she is working on and the results are always wonderful. I have gone down to the school and talked to the teacher several times. I have volunteered in the class. I have gone on headache inducing field trips. I have seen how this teacher has NO patience and does not know how to deal with children with any sort of kindness or understanding. I'm wondering if the kid will be passed to the 5th grade if I pull her out of school two weeks early? I need to find out about this. In the message last night the evil teacher said that if the kid is causing a distraction she will send her out of the class to the library. Fine. Let her spend the next two weeks in the library for all I care. She will probably learn more on her own than she ever would in your authorotarian hellhole, bizznatch. hmph. As a matter of fact I KNOW my kid can learn more by figuring things out on her own. Thank goodness I found out yesterday that she's is #1 on the waiting list for the good school next year and there is always a cool charter school she can attend while waiting.
