dorkfysh's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- whirlwind I have been neglecting this little corner of the virtual world. The kid got into the good school at the last moment. We are happy and relieved. There was a small roller coaster ride where we were looking at homeschooling as an option which might have been doable for a short period, but the kid needs school. She loves school when she has a positive learning environment and she's so very very social. I still have a job, but I'm convinced that I only have it because my boss would feel terrible if I was out of work. This is not really a bad thing, but it makes my situation feel a little tenuous. I love the solitude. I've had some lovely diaryland connections this week. There was Steve Burns with mnvnjnsn. She looked fierce in her new green cords and fancy toes. I've decided she's my very own Liza. Steve loved her and wasn't so crazy about me. *sniff* Last night I finally got to meet squarepants and her sweet sweet family. They didn't feel like strangers at all. I wish we could have had more time to hang out. Chicago is much too far away. All this happened at the beautiful home of snarkymarky. There was yummy food and even better company. She is all glowy with impending motherhood. Her and the boy are going to be the bestest parents.
